For two decades, the city of Zimbardo has been subject to the tyrannical influence of two groups. The criminal syndicate, the Ring of Hearts. And the domineering cult, the Inhelder Foundation. With danger increasing by the day, the dreams of a peaceful life of freedom remain as dreams. The recently formed vigilante group Maitri aims to tear down these two tyrants. The brash, orange-haired, and perhaps too overconfident Mai… joined by the tech wiz and audiophile Pital (called Pit by his friends) are the only ones within Maitri’s ranks. With Mai’s mysterious power of mandala, Maitri seems to be the only ones capable of reclaiming the home they never truly had. With multiple protagonists of differing perspectives, see how this tale of liberation unfolds.

Bloodluck is written and illustrated by Kai McIlrath. It is currently a solo project expect to have ~70-80 chapters.

I began Bloodluck in June 2023, and had to stop for a hiatus in 2024 in the middle of creating Chapter 5. Over that time I had still been drawing and my style has changed a lot. Now in 2026 I’ve begun to work on Bloodluck again. I'm hoping to create multiple new chapters for the relaunch.

Also, Bloodluck is much more like a manga than a typical webcomic.
It's read right to left, and page counts usually range from 25-30 per chapter. Except for Chapter 1, which is 72 pages, I have no idea how I had that kinda energy...
